Franck Muller Debuts Its Smallest Ever Skeleton Movement
Franck Muller’s 2024 High Jewellery launch introduces the Round Skeleton Baguette 31mm, a sparkling addition to the maison’s portfolio that artfully presents exquisite baguette-cut diamonds and precious gemstones, meticulously set using a channel-setting technique. This Asia Pacific Exclusive collection debuts an outstanding version in baguette-cut sapphires, rubies, tsavorites, and diamonds, forming a rainbow-colored bezel.
The Round Skeleton Baguette in 31mm presents itself as the smallest-ever skeleton movement within Franck Muller’s repertoire. The openworked skeletonized dial shows off the Manual-winding MVT FM 1540-RS that provides up to four days of power reserve.
Notably, the decision to release a smaller-sized jewellery watch feels refreshingly modern in today’s watch landscape. While larger timepieces dominate the market, the Round Skeleton Baguette 31mm stands out for its refined proportions, catering to a diverse audience. Though traditionally associated with women, smaller jewellery watches are gaining traction among men embracing jewellery and ornate designs.
The collection also extends Franck Muller’s acclaimed Round Skeleton line, previously available in 39mm and 42mm. Completing this five-piece lineup, four of which are presented in channel-set monochromatic versions: diamonds, blue sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. In white or rose gold options, the 31mm model features white diamonds set across the bezel, case sides, and crown.
