Originally founded in 1926 in Grenchen, Nivada is a brand best known for its functional (and occasionally funky) tool watches, and enjoyed its height of popularity in the golden era of mechanical watches, also known as the 1960s. Over the years, key models like the Antarctic first released in 1950, the Chronomaster from 1963, and the Depthmaster from 1965 became cult favorites. In 2018, Nivada Grenchen was reborn for the modern era, along with two key models from their catalog. Since then, Nivada has explored its own history to great effect, bringing back fan favorites such as the Depthmaster “Pac-Man”.
