Baume & Mercier
Baume & Mercier’s story began in 1830, when brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume opened a watch dealership in Les Bois.
Thanks to the quality of their products, which were consistent with their motto: “Accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality”, the brothers found success quickly. For about a generation, the company grew and then began to expand.
By the late 19th century, the company had already acquired a solid international reputation, and was renowned for its chronographs and grand complication models. Now part of the Richemont Group, Baume & Mercier has built up a rich heritage of watches that it revisits in contemporary versions, the reinvented Riviera being the most recent example.
