Casio G-Shock
1983 was a landmark year in the world of horology in that it saw the launch of Casio’s G-Shock sub-brand. While far from a slam dunk during its early years, it wasn’t long before G-Shock went on to become a staple in the watch industry and an undisputed icon.
The brainchild of Casio engineer Kikuo Ibe, a perennial optimist whose motto is “Never give up!”, his vision for G-Shock ultimately created an entirely new category of heavy duty horology and became the go-to choice for anyone looking to have an indestructible timepiece on their wrist.
