Nicolas Bos Appointed CEO of Richemont Group

Luxury conglomerate Richemont has made significant changes in its top management, announcing Nicolas Bos, the current head of Van Cleef & Arpels, to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective from 1 June 2024. Bos will succeed Jérôme Lambert, who will continue serving Richemont as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
As CEO, Bos will report directly to Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, and will play a pivotal role in the company’s strategic direction. Bos’ responsibilities will encompass overseeing all the Maisons, functions, and regions within Richemont, with a particular focus on the jewelry maisons, finance, and human resources.
Jérôme Lambert, who has been an integral part of Richemont, will continue his journey within the company as COO, reporting to Bos from 1 June 2024. This seamless transition in leadership positions reflects Richemont’s commitment to maintaining a robust and effective operational structure.
Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richemont, expressed his confidence in the appointments, stating, “I am truly delighted that Nicolas has accepted to assume the re-established role of CEO of Richemont.
“His vision and ability to uphold Van Cleef & Arpels’ tradition of excellence and creativity have been critical to the Maison’s remarkable growth. Building on Richemont’s expanded scale and stronger focus on retail and jewellery, Nicolas will steer the Group through the next phase of its evolution.”
He further extended gratitude to outgoing members and welcomed the incoming leaders, highlighting a commitment to continuity and excellence in Richemont’s leadership.
Nicolas Bos, a distinguished graduate of the ESSEC Business School, brings a wealth of experience to his new position at Richemont. Having joined the company in 1992, initially with the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris, Bos’ journey within Richemont has been marked by significant contributions.
In 2000, he transitioned to Van Cleef & Arpels, eventually rising to the position of Global President and CEO in 2013. Notably, since September 2019, Bos has also overseen Buccellati, showcasing his versatility and adeptness in the luxury goods industry.
Nicolas Luchsinger Leads Maison Buccellati as CEO
Nicolas Luchsinger, formerly the President Asia Pacific at Van Cleef and Arpels, now leads Maison Buccellati as its new Chief Executive Officer, following an announcement made in April this year. Prior to his time at Van Cleef and Arpels, Luchsinger spent nearly a decade at Christie’s, further enriching his expertise in the realm of luxury and art.
This transition marks a significant milestone for Maison Buccellati as it welcomes a seasoned leader known for his strategic vision and operational acumen. Nicolas Luchsinger’s appointment reflects Richemont’s commitment to driving growth and innovation within its prestigious Maisons.
Concurrently, Gianluca Brozzetti, the current CEO of Buccellati, will conclude his mandate as CEO and assume the role of Executive Vice President at Buccellati Holding Italia Spa. Gianluca has been at the helm of the Buccellati Group for the past decade, steering its integration into Richemont in 2019 and contributing significantly to its expansion as a prominent player in the global Jewellery and Silver market.
