While the much hyped fight between Tyson and Paul was underwhelming (if not a little sad) at least we got to do a little watch spotting, right?

The Fight Between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul Was Lame – But At Least The Watches Weren’t

On Friday night an estimated 120 million people logged in to Netflix to watch the Boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. While the biggest beating of the night was certainly to Netflix’s servers, with buffer issues and outright crashes plaguing the livestream, it was never the less a massive event. Despite months of hype, promotion and trash talk, it was… well pretty much as underwhelming as everyone expected, with 27 year old Jake Paul winning the fight on points against 58 year old Mike Tyson.

In typically nauseating fashion, Paul wore a diamond encrusted boxing outfit that was reported to cost $1 million dollars, because of course he did. Naturally, in the lead up to the fight, Jake Paul was seen wearing the Jacob & Co Billionaire Ashokha timepiece, an absolute monster and testament to opulence equipped with skeletonized tourbillon movement and 151.22 carats in diamonds.

By and large the fight was just kind of a bummer, with Tyson coming out strong in the first round, but losing steam by round three. The fight then continued through the remaining five rounds with Paul chipping away at Tyson’s dwindling resolve. The saving grace of watching Tyson’s fatigue being the $20 million dollar pay day that he walks away with.

But easily the biggest disappointment of the evening, apart from Shaq not wearing one of his collaboration Invictas (you know, in keeping with the theme of sad, vulgar commercialism and all) was the outcome of the fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. In a baffling call that left spectators and announcers scratching their heads, the win was ultimately awarded to Taylor (despite repeatedly headbutting Serrano and landing fewer punches and a lower percentage.)

Despite all of the nonsense of the evening, we were still able to do a little bit of watch spotting both in the lead up to the fight and during.
