Vacheron Constantin Announces New Certified Pre-Owned Watch Program
Vacheron Constantin has launched a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program to give clients and collectors access to high-quality pre-owned watches. The program aims to redefine the secondary watch market by offering authenticated and restored timepieces, preserving the integrity of each watch it produces.
How Vacheron Constantin’s CPO works
The CPO watches undergo rigorous inspection, certification, and maintenance by Vacheron Constantin’s expert watchmakers. They are issued with a minimum two-year warranty, guaranteeing the watch’s functional and aesthetic integrity. This warranty allows clients peace of mind, knowing that any part deemed defective will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Furthermore, each certified watch comes with a “Digital Passport” powered by blockchain technology. This innovation provides transparent, tamper-proof information about each watch’s unique details, ownership history, and technical guides, enhancing traceability and authenticity for buyers.
The CPO package includes a certificate of authenticity, known as the CPO Guarantee Letter, which verifies each watch’s functionality and maintenance history. Additionally, each watch arrives in a specially designed pouch with a dedicated seal, signifying its origin from the certified program.
The CPO program also builds on the Maison’s partnership with Watchfinder, offering a trade-in service allowing clients to upgrade their watches. Clients can bring their current Vacheron Constantin watches to selected boutiques, where Watchfinder appraises the pieces and provides a trade-in quote for a new timepiece.
Does it matter how old my VC watch is?
Not at all. The Maison promises that any of its watches created since its founding can be restored to their original state. This commitment is enabled by a restoration department equipped with original components, archival materials, and artisanal expertise. Their storied archives, filled with technical blueprints, sketches, and historical registers, serve as a cornerstone of the Maison’s dedication to precision and authenticity.
The comprehensive CPO program, alongside vintage services like the “Les Collectionneurs” range of restored classics, exemplifies Vacheron Constantin’s mission to uphold horological heritage. With this initiative, Vacheron Constantin reaffirms its commitment to building a lasting legacy, not only for its iconic timepieces but also for clients seeking timepieces that capture both history and enduring quality.
