The Raymond Weil Millesime Now Comes In A New 35mm Size
At Watches & Wonders Geneva this year, Raymond Weil introduced a refreshing new collection, joining the bandwagon revival of neo-vintage dress watches. Personally, it was one of my favorites exhibited at the Salon, and I, for one, am very excited that the family-owned brand, led by CEO Elie Bernheim, is creating watches that we should be wearing — in the form of a well-designed, sector-dial, nicely colored (there’s midnight blue! Salmon! Red on a bracelet!), dress watch.
In taking this lead, Raymond Weil has expanded the Millesime line in a new size at 35mm.
Five new references for 35mm
The collection features two primary models: the 2125, characterized by its central second hand, and the 2145, distinguished by its poetic moon phase complication. Both models offer distinct variations in design and color, with careful attention to detail that highlights the brand’s dedication to fine Swiss craftsmanship, while maintaining that accessible price point; the collection is priced between CHF 1,575 and CHF 2,450.
The 2125 model is available in three dial colors — silver, denim blue, and burgundy — each housed in a 35mm stainless steel case. Just for the denim blue variant, it features lugs set with 16 lab-grown diamonds. The watch’s classic aesthetic, with geometric lines and sector dials, are all exhibited underneath a ‘glassbox’ sapphire crystal.
The 2145 model presents the moon phase complication within the same sector-style dial. The automatic RW4280 movement boasts a 41-hour power reserve and comes in two distinct variations. The first, a rose gold PVD steel case with a silver dial and Arabic numerals, while the second is a steel case paired with a denim-blue dial and diamond-set lugs.
Each watch features smooth chapter rings, spiral minute tracks, and vertically satin-brushed central sections of the dial. Whether paired with an ergonomic steel bracelet or a fine leather strap with signature W-shaped stitching, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to enhance both comfort and visual appeal.
The Millesime is a new, good look
Revolution Australia Editor-in-Chief, Felix Scholz, discussed the successful return of Raymond Weil upon the debut of the Millesime, which you can read all about here. In fact, he recounted the brand’s surprising Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) win in 2023, when the Millesime Automatic Small Seconds was announced as the winner of the “Challenge” prize — a category reserved for watches priced below CHF 2,000. “The reaction was one of surprise, both in the room and online,” wrote Scholz. The watch beat out newcomers such as Kurono Tokyo and Studio Underd0g, as well as established brands like Seiko and Nomos Glashütte, two brands who typically dominate the conversation around “accessible” timepieces.
Of the collection, even CEO Bernheim said so himself in a statement, “Millesime represents a new chapter for Raymond Weil, connecting with a clientele that values timeless elegance. These watch enthusiasts are looking for superior quality, expert craftsmanship, and a design that harmonizes classic and modern aesthetics, with refined finishes — all at an accessible price point. This is a great opportunity, and we fully embrace it.”
