MB&F Launches A New Raffle For M.A.D.1S Edition
As the anticipation builds for the upcoming M.A.D.2 (its happening! Just slated for next year), MB&F has unveiled a new iteration of its fan-favorite model: introducing the M.A.D.1S.
The “S” in M.A.D.1S signifies a slimmer case that now houses a single-cylinder display and a new Swiss movement — the La Joux-Perret G101. It’s still unidirectional-winding, which allows for that twisting turbo display on the wrist. This stems from the original M.A.D.1 that was powered by the Japanese Miyota 821A, which was solely chosen for its unidirectional-winding mechanism. Now with a Swiss-made movement, the G101 offers a power reserve of 68 hours at a frequency of 28,000bph (4Hz).
The slimmer case only displays one cylinder for the hours

The lugs have been reworked for a sleeker fit to match the slimmer case
The slimmer case in question now measures 15mm in thickness (down from 18.8mm). While this 20% reduction allows for just a single cylinder that leaves just enough room to read the hours, this results in the absence of a dedicated scale for the minutes — which instead are read roughly between markers across the 40mm-diameter hour cylinder display.
The M.A.D.1S raffle now requires a credit card pre-authorization to filter out flippers and multiple entries. Additionally, those who have participated in previous raffles but never won will have their chances doubled this time around
So what else is new? The 42mm M.A.D.1S also now has slimmer lugs and a redesigned winding rotor (with larger cut-outs). The price of the M.A.D.1S remains unchanged at CHF 2,900 (including taxes).
New raffle terms & conditions
The distribution strategy also follows the same principles, with a few exciting twists. Friends (suppliers) and Tribe members (owners of MB&F watches) will have direct access to the M.A.D.1S, including a special Purple edition exclusive. The Ice Blue edition will be available to everyone through the brand’s established raffle system. The raffle opens on Tuesday, August 27th at 2pm CEST and closes on Monday, September 2nd at midnight.
