Sincere Fine Watches 70th Anniversary: Laurent Ferrier’s Grand Sport Tourbillon Gets Its First Guilloché Dial
In celebration of Sincere Fine Watches’ 70th anniversary, Laurent Ferrier has unveiled the Grand Sport Tourbillon Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition. This exclusive edition is limited to just 12 pieces and features a petrol green guilloché dial for the first time in the Grand Sport Tourbillon collection. The distinctive teal hue, inspired by the waves of the South China Sea, reflects Sincere’s robust retail presence in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. As Sincere Fine Watches so poetically describes, this color symbolizes vitality and resilience, qualities that are reflective of its 70-year history.
A stunning new green dial for the Grand Sport Tourbillon
This distinctive color is a welcome addition to the Grand Sport Tourbillon — previous editions have seen the sporty integrated bracelet watch in more neutral colors such as salmon and brown, with the most vivid combination being a gradient blue dial with contrasting yellow indices.
But that’s not to say that Laurent Ferrier isn’t all that stranger to color. In the more modest Sport line, a certain Auto 40 was a delightful myriad of green, purple, and yellow, reminiscent of the 1979 Porsche 935 Turbo N°40 edition once raced by Laurent Ferrier himself.
Although they’ve certainly upped the ante with this special Grand Sport Tourbillon. In a deep petrol green lacquer dial, the distinctive guilloché pattern enhances the dial’s depth, reacting dynamically to light. The freehand wave pattern that alternates between the shimmering strips of teal creates an optical illusion, as if the dial was floating on the ocean’s surface. And all the better for it because this is arguably the most fun-looking Grand Sport T from the brand just yet. Legibility remains paramount, with white Super-Luminova enhancing the Assegai-shaped hands and drop-shaped indices.
The Grand Sport case design, which retains the graceful curves inspired by racing cars, is crafted from 5N red gold featuring satin-brushed and mirror-polished components, with a cushion-shaped bezel and barrel-shaped middle case. The caseback is engraved with the words “One of Twelve”.
The Grand Sport Tourbillon Sincere Platinum Jubilee Edition runs on the usual manual-winding LF 619.01 movement that’s equipped with an 80-hour power reserve. The exhibition caseback shows off the prestige craftsmanship, where the tourbillon discreetly sits in place. Priced at SGD $328,000 (including GST), it will be available exclusively at all Sincere Fine Watches boutiques.
